Long since the wars have ended Long since the wars are done And here I sit my heart contented My eyes upon the setting sun. Its rays of beauty the sky so amber as the twisted clouds do lazily roll Unquestioned by the north winds slumber Unblackened by the devil's soul. Then shower your beauty that possesseth all grace Give way to the thunder that hideth your face. No time to lose, no time to borrow, You're gone today, but back tomorrow. I wrote this poem in a tower while I was guarding German PW's. The place used to be a German concentration camp where mass murders were committed at one time. No doubt you'll read about such places in the papers. You'll understand what I mean when I wrote "Unblackened by the devil's soul." I hope you like it. Joseph Vosbikian
